Over 70 enthusiastic renewable energy supporters cheerfully set out from Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre to walk in SOLARdarity with the Repower Port Augusta walkers in South Australia. Amongst the crowd were Greg and Robyn, parents of Cameron and Aja, two of the hundred walkers who've spent the last 2 weeks walking 325kms from Port Augusta to Adelaide.

Saturday morning... breakfast for the kids, make sure the birthday present is wrapped for # 3 who's going to a party, all heading in different directions, lifts sorted, with soccer or friends and 2 loads of washing on the line! The way is clear for me to join my buddies at Climate Change Balmain-Rozelle. We're heading out once again to ask people in our suburb what they think about renewable energy - and whether they think our Govt is doing enough. It's fascinating!

...and let me tell you, everybody loves renewable energy!..Seriously!

Yesterday I found myself talking to 8,000 people! It was a vibrant and peaceful gathering, full of people who, it seemed to me, were celebrating the possibility that we may eventually be moving towards a low carbon future.

In Victoria momentum is building to close down Australia's dirtiest coal fired power station.  The "Replace Hazelwood" campaign is inspiring stuff - See the YouTube video...it's just great, and this is the web address  to see what the good people of Victoria are doing about it - climate advocacy majic at it's best.

I can't tell you how good it felt to be talking about the campaign with mums at soccer yesterday. Everyone loves renewable energy!! People would be happy to put a sticker on their car...

I generally start off by flagging that polling tells us that the vast majority of people in Oz are incredibly supportive of renewable energy (this they already know of course) - and that this campaign is all about giving the public a place to express that enthusiasm.
