GO for Green Energy!

WarrandyteCAN decided in June to try to get the best energy rate we could for local residents and businesses and in this way achieve a win win for people and the climate.  We believe we can attract an energy retailer to provide a significant discount and in so doing, encourage people to buy Green Energy, at this better rate, hence contributing to 100% renewable energy.    Its not just for Warrandyte residents and businesses.  Suburbs all around us are eligible to join, from Hurstbridge, Eltham, Templestowe, Ringwood, Wonga Park, Donvale, Park Orchards Warranwood etc  PowerGroup, is a procurement specialist organisation with lots of success.  Its totally obligation free - but we want 800 registrants and so far we have about 350.  Find out all about it and register your interest at www.warrandytecan.com.au (not at our old website page at BZE which still tops the google ranking of our name).  This offer closes end of August 2011 so be in it. 

Will a lower price encourage inefficient use of energy?

Some people have asked us this.  We believe that the vast majority of people are aiming to reduce their energy consumption and regardless of a cost saving, will continue to think in terms of conserving energy.  We also believe that Climate Action Groups like ours and the other 100 or so around the country need to build strong relationships with the broad community.  Positive activities like our bulk buy offer help to attract locals to our other information and helps them see us as part of their world.  If you have any queries, please leave a comment here.
