Big Solar Bootcamp FAQs

About the Bootcamp

What will be involved?

The weekend will be an inspiring mix of; hearing from leaders in renewable energy and campaigning, developing skills to run the big solar campaign in your community this year, sharing stories and ideas and meeting renewable energy campaigners from across Australia.

The sessions will include a both plenary and small group breakout work and will be very interactive. See here for a more detailed program. There will also be plenty of free time to enjoy the facilities at the Youthworks Centre.

What is the cost?

The cost of running the workshop works out at approx $140 per head. This includes the cost of all food and accomodation for the two days as well as the venue and speakers.

As a community run initiative, as much as we would like to, we are not able to subsidise the costs for all participants. We are therefore asking participants to cover their own costs at $140 for waged participants or $60 for unwaged.

Can I come for one day only?

The program is designed to run over two days and activities will involve work in groups that run across both days so we strongly encourage you to attend both the Saturday and the Sunday. If you are only able to attend one day but would still like to come please contact deanat100percent [dot] org [dot] au to discuss.
